I'm working on finding a definite answer to this myself. I saw a post on one site that said that icon means that there were update failures. I did have several failures on the recent updates earlier in June 2014, but all those updates have finally processed correctly, yet the red triangle remains on my CC icon in the Windows 8 system tray. No errors are showing in the application list. So I don't know what that icon means when all installed application updates are "green" and up to date!
Can anyone explain this icon?
