  • Open the image in photoshop
  • Click the crop tool in the toolbar on left side of screen (kind of looks like a frame)
  • Use the anchors on the sides of the document to move inwards to remove what you don't want (or you can drag out a new crop area with your mouse)
  • When you are satisfied, commit the crop by hitting the enter/return key or clicking the checkmark in the top tool bar. (Note: before committing, there is a check box in the top tool bar for hiding or removing the excess area (hiding allows you to undo and removing is permanent. Your choice)
  • now save the image. (use save as if it is a group of images in a single document so you can reload the file to start over or unhide and crop again)
