Re: How do I make white background of a text block transparent.

Hi Claudette,

 

Start a new document in Expert Mode.

File >> New >> Blank File

 

Set the dimensions for your text block (width & height) and resolution (normally 72 for web useage) and then set background contents to transparent & click OK

 

Select the text “T” tool from the tools pallet and click once into the blank file where you want your text; then paste the text from your word document (Ctrl+V)

 

If necessary select the move tool to re-position and drag the corner handles to re-scale.

 

Click the green check mark when you are happy and save as PNG to preserve the transparency.

 

On the top menu click:

File >> Save for Web

 

From the preset dropdown menu choose PNG24 and ensure transparency is checked, then click Save. Choose a file name and click Save.
