You don't need to do that - you can easily use the computer's file system (it's what I do): card into card reader, browse to it via Windows Explorer, copy the image folder to wherever on your PC you want them to be.
I am running LR 5.6,when i open up LR & click on import photos it does not show any raws at all,but if it is jpegs they show up no problem.
Are you attaching the camera to the PC to do this? This has long been considered to be a flaky, inconsistent and unreliable way to get images onto the computer: I really would recommend a card reader.
