Well it's for youtube. The youtube compression is terrible even at 1080p. When you upload in 1440p though it is forced to use a higher bitrate when uploading and means the video in turn looks better. It's the main reason many content creators upload in 1440p or 4K. 4K is over kill in my opinion and makes the video look worse. And is that frame rate weird. I usually just go with 30 because the original video is at 60.
