Then your files have been deleted. You do not 'import' files, you do not duplicate them in the catalog; the catalog holds only informations about the files : their location on the drive, their properties and a small 'thumbnail' to help visual searches.
So, your only hope is to check from your OS if the deleted files are still in the trash bin.
When you delete files from the organizer, the dialog asks you if you want to delete also from the drive, not only from the catalog. Do not tick the checkbox if you want to keep the files on the drive.
