Re: i can't open a document because of file extension

You say it is a PSD file, so either:

1. you don't have Photoshop installed
2. the file is corrupt
3. it is not a PSD file

You need to give a _lot_ more information if you want help.

1. What operating system?
2. what version of Photoshop and how long has it been installed?
3. do you have other PSD files you can try?
4. can you see the file extension? (If not and you are using Windows, you need to open Explorer, and go Organize > Folder and Search Options > View (tab)> and uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.

Any other information you think might help.
